This seat has been held by Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio since 2003 — the longest-serving Juvenile Court Judge in Summit County history. As Judge Teodosio retires at the end of 2026, voters will choose her successor for the first time in over two decades.

What Does the Summit County Juvenile Court Judge Do?
The Summit County Juvenile Court handles cases involving children — including delinquency, abuse, neglect, dependency, and custody matters. The Judge presides over cases that directly affect the lives of children and families across Summit County including Akron, Copley, Fairlawn, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Tallmadge, Bath, Richfield, Green, Barberton, Norton, Macedonia, Sagamore Hills, Northfield.
The role requires not only legal expertise but also a deep understanding of behavioral health, restorative justice, community safety, and the systems that support vulnerable youth and families. The Judge sets the tone for how the court operates, how cases are handled, and how the court partners with schools, law enforcement, social services, and community organizations.

About Amy Corrigall Jones
Amy Corrigall Jones brings 25 years of legal experience and more than a decade of judicial service to this race. She is uniquely qualified to lead the Summit County Juvenile Court.
Judicial Experience
Amy was elected to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas in 2012 and re-elected in 2018, serving as a General Division Judge for over a decade. Her colleagues trusted her leadership so much that they selected her to serve as:
- Presiding Judge of the Common Pleas Court (Juvenile, Probate, General & Domestic Divisions) in 2016
- Administrative Judge of the General Division from 2017 to 2022
Founder of the Valor Veterans Court
In 2013, Amy founded the Summit County Valor Veterans Court — a specialized court program designed to address the unique needs of veterans involved in the criminal justice system. The Valor Court connects veterans with treatment, support services, and mentorship rather than simply incarcerating them, recognizing that many veterans struggle with PTSD, substance use, and mental health challenges as a result of their service.
Creator of the SCORR Program
In 2018, Amy created the Summit County Offender Recidivism Reduction (SCORR) Program — an innovative initiative focused on reducing repeat offenses by connecting individuals with behavioral health treatment, job training, and community support. The SCORR Program reflects Amy's belief that community safety and restorative justice are not opposites — they work together.
Current Community Service
Amy currently serves as an Executive Liaison for Summit County, working alongside the Summit County Sheriff's Office to enhance community safety and services for those who need them most. She also volunteers as a board member for several nonprofits, including the Statewide Ohio Recovery Housing Non-Profit, advocating for Ohio's most vulnerable residents.
